Daily allowance for sub-teachers
The union is calling for ECC to provide sub-teachers with a daily allowance of 500yen. Sub-teachers are unfairly burdened with calling ECC at their own expense and should be re-imbursed. There is also the issue of sub-teachers needing to call the company in their own time. There is a strong argument under the Labor Standards Law that this should be paid as it is outside contracted working hours.
