On March 10, 2024, General Union members joined the March in March.
One of the issues protested in this year’s March in March were proposed changes to the technical trainee system which would prevent trainees from changing their employment within the first year. This system has been compared to modern day slavery.
Another issue included in this year’s protest were the proposed changes to the permanent residency system, which would allow permanent residency to be revoked based on failure to pay taxes. You can sign their petition against those proposed changes here.
