How do I pay one year's due (36,000YEN) at Japan Post Bank (post office)?
Dues can be paid at any post office using a 'yubin furikae'. This is a post office postal money order. Forms pre-printed in English are available from the General Union; blank forms can be obtained at any post office by asking for a 'furikae youshi'. All you need to do is fill out the General Union's account number details (00950-7-324732) and complete your own personal details in the spaces provided. Once filled out, take the form to the post office counter with your payment and hand it to the postal clerk.
The post office charges from 0 yen to 330 yen.
* The fee has changed from 1st October 2007.
At the counter:
- 120yen (when sending less than 29,999yen in cash)
- 330yen (when sending more than 30,000yen in cash)
- 140yen (when sending from your Postal Saving Account)
By ATM:
- 80yen (when sending less than 29,999yen in cash)
- 290yen (when sending more than 30,000yen in cash)
- free (when sending from your Postal Saving Account without using the 'haraikomi-sho', from 1st Oct 2007 to 30th Sept 2008)
By Japan Post Direct (ex Internet Home Service)
- 110yen
In addition to providing you with an easy to use method for paying dues, a properly completed 'yubin furikae' enables the General Union to update and confirm its membership records with your most recent address, phone number, and place of employment.
This pre-printed form can be obtained from the union office.

This blank form can be obtained from the post office.
