Osaka Gaigo and GU settle case in Labour Commission
On 12 July 2006, a mediated settlement agreement was signed at Osaka Prefectural Labour Commission between the General Union and Osaka Gaigo Semmon Gakko whereby the college expressed regret for certain statements made by one of its officials on 25th and 26th May 2006, a financial settlement was paid by the college in the non-renewal cases of two part-time union members, andboth sides promised to make efforts to improve the labour-management
relationship.
By the end of the year, Gaigo and the General Union had resolved the other major differences which had led to the dispute.
We now look forward to a better relationship with this college.
